The Music on Modern Dance Environments 3 represents my best work
with musicians, dancers and choreographers from the decade spanning 1999 to 2009.  
It is collaborative in nature.  
I am honored to play with and treasure the quality of musicians on these tracks and
especially proud of the creative interplay captured here.  
Improvisation is the cloth of these works are cut from.

Three tracks are scores written specifically for choreographers, all in Southern California.  
The oldest piece, for synthesizer, Untitled 99 was written for a student choreographer at UC Irvine.
 Five Minute Break was created for Beth Megill and premiered in Mexico (2003).  
Half Parsec (2007) is the middle portion of a piece written and performed for
the Colette Harding Comtemporary Dance Company.
The tracks Finding Six, Seven Four, Dugadah, Indian Four and the jazz tunes
are a result of countless inspiring hours of class work
with choreographers and teachers Donald McKayle and Loretta Livingston.  
Collaborating with them is one of the great joys of my life.  
Dugadah, Indian Four and Tribe, were created especially for this album
by Erik Leckrone and Nana Simpopoulos.  
Nana was guest artist at UCI Dance dept. from 2007-2009
and often played with Erik and me in class and in concert.
